Merasane (Mera), has been a avid member, and key player in Cubic Worlds since May 15th, 2011, being a Moderator, and being most notable for being the master of Beta, and one of the three proprietors of Hyrule. Merasane has helped build many things, Some things being Beta, Hyrule, and some areas for major events, ranging back to the great End Crisis. He currently operates under the account, 'Arya_Oyvind', the 'merasane' account now being used by his sister.
His identity was confirmed as Male around August 2012. Deciding that his life was fixed enough after a great depression that lasted 4 years, thus causing him to "think as another person" by adopting his enigmatic persona. The support he received after revealing this to the server only strengthened his friendship with everyone there.

Through the Server's Ages, he has come and gone, but always remaining a staple of the community, finding time to get on for a while at least once a week. = Introduction =

Hello. I'm the BrickViking, otherwise known as Dr Smokey. In other circles, I was known as a tester and document editor for the Open Cobalt project (no, not Cobalt the game, though I have that too). In addition, I maintain a small number of software projects.

First Infection
I first started Minecraft after having bought the Humble Bundle back in late July 2011, and Notch allowed everyone with a HIB3 purchase to have some free time on Minecraft. After spending three solid days on the game early in August 2011 while not otherwise asleep, eating or other stuff, I was sold. I started in with Minecraft Beta 1.7.3, and have upgraded through every PC version since then.

Initial Treatment
September 2011: Since then, I stumbled into Cubic Worlds online, I still have no idea how. Needless to say, I'm here.

17th September 2011: I set up house with Cobble Manor directly above Biscuit's Mine, not realising that helpful users had stuck me right on top of a historical artifact. Thanks guys for giving me such a stellar start in Pixellia.

1st October 2011: The Great Grief. Yes, I took part in this, learning that cobble can indeed be created on level 128, if you mix lava and water in the right way. As of 1.8 beta, this was the only way I know of to actually place blocks (aside from water or lava) on 128y. Of course this was all rendered moot when Mojang increased the height limit up to 256.

4th October 2011: I then created my first real house out of sandstone in Digi-Island. Here, I finalised the design for my first big cobblestone maker, the CobbliMaker Mk 1872, which was the preliminary step for creating the Mk 1872s and the Behemoth.

Ongoing Treatment
It won't work. I'm infected for life. As a result of my disease, I initially took up residence in New Avalon, then to Voxellia, and have since moved to Tesseract while I live out my ongoing life in Cubic Worlds. Having only made one bad mistake since coming here (crosses fingers), I'm learning the ropes.

Additional Information
When I moved to Voxellia, I consolidated a lot of the builds I had under my control, though most of Digitus (previously known as NOISE) was consigned to the history books along with the rest of New Avalon. However, the Hotel California has been moved over, as has the Block Museum. This made the move to Tesseract far easier, as I was able to simply select my whole territory to copy over. No reorganisation needed.

Current Projects
Home
I'm always working on my base, Cyel. This consists of all three of my Pixellia builds moved onto Cyel (now complete), some builds from New Avalon and modifications to make it more user-friendly. So far, I've added a chicken farm, cobble maker, smoothstone maker (not currently working), chestroom, house, two mob spawners and other sundry projects.

Previous minor New Avalon projects
* Room 2B in Fubaka's Great Library - currently under rewrite into a book
* Memorial plot in Fubaka's Ville d'Art
* CobbliMaker 1872s (little brother to the Behemoth, moved to Voxellia and then to Tesseract)
* the relative newcomer, the SmoothiMaker Diamond Model (broken due to Minecraft changes)
* reorganising chestspace at Cyel (nearly completed phase 2)
* redecorating the Workshop (again)
* rewriting signs at Nolania Circulum (complete)
* Helping zoombuggy to build a house (complete)

Previous major New Avalon projects
* The Rail system
* Maintenance of NOISE, which then became Digitus

Previous minor Voxellia projects
* Assigned the Rail Supplies to the then-maintainer of the Voxellia Rail

Minor Tesseract projects
* created All Neutral plot in Fubaka's Galleria (complete)
* reorganising chestspace at Cyel (nearly completed phase 3)
* dug out yet another chestroom for Zoombuggy (complete)
* attempting to get a working autofurnace
Introduction
The CobbliMaker is a small project made by myself (Brickviking), with help from others. It's currently housed in Cyel, which has seen two moves since New Avalon.

Put simply, this isn't two holes in the ground with lava at one end and water at the other, a la CaptainSparklez. No baby, it's a bit bigger than that. To paraphrase from the Behemoth, it's water+lava+lots of pistons and redstone. Initial cuts at the Cobblimaker were of the "create a block, then shove it out horizontally" form. I then spent time fine tuning the resulting concept further.

Inception
Simply put, I watched a Skyblock Challenge youtube video done by CaptainSparklez. In that video, he created a dirt simple cobblestone generator, and that was when I first got introduced to the concept. <!-- Insert picture here --> Of course, he had to stand there every time a block was created, and hack it out with a pick, sometimes losing the block in the process.

Initial designs
Other cobble generators I had seen before and afterwards, such as the public cobble generator in Pixellia, worked on the theory of a lava block flowing against a pair of waterflows and creating two blocks of cobble that the user then chisels away with his pick, and waits for the waterflow to carry them to him. A user can quite happily sit here and generate a considerable number of stacks just by standing there and whacking blocks merrily. But it's not automated. Other automated versions simply pushed blocks out using a single piston. I thought of a small twist, how about using more than one piston?

First cuts
Pushing out the initial single block of cobble gained me a line of cobble blocks. I then had the idea of pushing this row out to further pistons, and pushing them out into further rows. First I separated them with obsidian channels, and created the six row Mk 84. I realised I could dispense with the separators and save myself obsidian in the process. That gained me a Mk 156. The pro? I got a lot of cobble, 12 rows of it. The cons? It was very slow, as it still only created one block at a time, then spent time shuffling blocks into place.

The next generation
If I could push along, why not up? Initial cuts with a horizontal piston array died before getting established, purely because I couldn't figure out a way to drive a flat piston array. Later on, I found it could be done, though I had to drive the columns down, not up. I set up such an array, and ended up with first the Mk 360, then eventually the Mk 720, each one having a series of slices pushed down from the generator (instead of pushing up like in later models), with walkways between each slice so I could access them individually.

Trying to teach people how to mine these slices effectively became a losing proposition with me eventually being the only one I actually fully trusted not to bollix the job and accidentally take out a piston or associated circuitry in the process. Needless to say, this got pretty complicated.

mredigeek showed me that pairs of pistons could be driven with a single repeater, and with this, my design was almost finalised. All that remained was some uhm, fine tuning. Instead of driving columns of cobble down from the top, how about pushing them out in horizontal slices instead, using a vertical array of pistons, all driven from the same clock that was driving the initial block generation to begin with? Easy enough, so I put that into play, only to realise that the time to create a slab was now up to 50 minutes. Not exactly fast.

My chief problem was the fact that only one block was being created. How about a whole line of lava and water? That, my friends, was the magic I needed. All I had to do was to push the line of created cobble out of the way, to allow another line of cobble to be created, and so on. For that, I needed to lay down a line of pistons pushing upwards. Then I found that it would push up a wall of cobble that was 12 units high, so I had to figure out how to push that wall out into a slab. Enter that vertical array I talked about in the last paragraph.

My next attempt at getting more blocks out of the CobbliMaker design was basically me trying to see if I could get it to create more cobble being pushed down, that failed until I went ahead and came up with the current module design implemented in the Behemoth.

Basic design
So, we have a line of water, then a gap, then a row of pistons one block down. The gap's necessary so that water flows down and not straight against the lava&mdash;otherwise we have our own obsidian generator, and I have to replace the lava all the time. Not good. So, next we have a line of lava, with a bank of pistons directly above that pushing out horizontally.

(Incidentally, this was originally the basis for an obsidian generator&mdash;simply remove the piston wall and piston floor, remove the circuitry, as pistons can't push obby anyhow, and find some way of lining a channel with redstone. Put a water flow up against that, place lava on top of the redstone, and boom. Obsidian. Take the lava away, mine the obsidian, put down more redstone, etc.) Of course, this was bollixed when 1.9 came along and the "glitch" that allowed redstone (or indeed string) to be turned into obsidian was finally patched out of existence.)

As you can push up to 13 blocks with 1 piston, we take out a block for the formation of cobble, you're left with 12 blocks you can push outwards. And as each piston in the wall can push out 13 blocks, you get 12 block high and 13 block wide slices, each containing 156 blocks.

The Hybrid Maker
Just as an aside, here's a model I stumbled on when I saw that Minecraft 1.1 had been released. This single-block maker produces both cobble and smoothstone, but not at the same time. The mechanics can be toggled&mdash;flick the switch one way, the generator makes cobble as normal. Flip it the other way, it'll start making smoothstone instead. I found this design on Youtube, so I implemented it with help from mredigeek. It was simple enough to make once I got the pistons in the right place, and the lava flowing down into the right area instead of being down on the bottom. I made quite a few blocks of obsidian before cottoning onto this fact. Server glitches meant that I didn't always get smoothstone. It's a shame I wasn't able to make the CobbliMaker a both-ways creator, but hey. The switching circuitry was already getting complicated enough.

The CobbliMaker Mk 1872
This was the final iteration of the design that I used, 12 slices wide. The wiring's a little more complicated once you expand past 12, but not overly so. I simply use redstone plus repeaters to each bank of 12 that I want to drive, borrowing this from my Behemoth design. In addition, I implemented a Full-Switch, meaning that the clock driving the whole system gets stopped once the slab is completely full. Clearing the whole slab, then removing the key, starts it all off again. In this regard, it's pretty much always ready to go. A nice additional touch, and I've added it to other models too. For those who know what a T-Bud is, that's what I used. Before I applied speedups, I was sitting at just over 11 minutes to produce 1,872 blocks.

For debugging the circuit, I also added kick-buttons, to "kick" the clock into action if it happens to be stuck. I also added a "lock-off" switch to stop the clock from running, and a "lock-on" switch, to check that pistons aren't stuck closed when they're meant to be active.

A distinct speed up, the Mk 1872s
A small tweak enabled a very significant decrease in the time it takes to generate the slab. In the 1872, I was driving the whole thing from one clock, making sure that the push-up pistons pushed first before the slabs start getting pushed out. I was spending half the time waiting for the pistons to retract and more cobble to form before I could kick the whole pushup-pushout cycle over again. Put bluntly, I was using too many repeaters.

That was fine to begin with, but there was one more twitch I could make on each circuit. The clock circuit is usually a cycling set of repeaters and a torch for me, about as basic as it gets. Previously, I'd just be tapping that at one place and letting it drive first the bottom pistons, then drive the top pistons, wait for the pistons to retract, then wait for more cobble to form. This isn't fast enough, because the clock seems to have about a 50% duty cycle, i.e. the signal goes high for half the time, then goes low for the other half.

So now, I tap the clock at one point during the cycle to drive the piston wall, and tap the clock at another point to drive the bottom pistons. On the way out from that clock circuit, I introduce a short circuit on each line that only spits out enough pulse to push out the pistons, then retract them almost straight away. The fact that the pistons are already retracted means I can shorten the time before I'm ready to push them out again. I did that to both the piston wall and to the bottom circuit, which is what gave me a much faster time. Interleaving the pushes means that I can push out the slabs of cobble with the piston wall while I wait for more cobble to form in the bottom channel. A win both ways.

I was also able to get rid of about six repeaters out of the clock and re-use them in the pulse circuits. I also dropped each of the remaining clock repeaters down to about two ticks each, and offset the clock, in effect making a short off pulse, and a long on pulse, bringing me down to 5 minutes 46 seconds to produce 1,872 blocks of cobble. And at the moment at least, I can't get it a lot faster, though I can certainly get bigger. Further tests offline and online enabled me to get the time down to a stellar 4 minutes 10 seconds for the same amount. Wow.

Updates to water flow
Some time later, I realised that I was getting cobble forming in the wrong place, stopping water flowing anywhere else. I reckon it must have been around that time that I had to extend the water bay out to seven blocks, leaving the eighth to form the cobble at the lava face. Once I made that change, the CobbliMaker worked without getting blocked up.

Future improvements to the 1872s
I could turn the T-Bud to further uses, and strip out most of the pistonwall cycles, just by waiting until I have a full vertical slice of cobble, then push out the whole slice sideways. It may not get me a lot faster speed, but it'll be less murderous on the server. The one disadvantage is that I'd need to disable the piston wall circuit each time I wanted to clear the slab, or I'd be turned into jelly.

The Behemoth
Described in its own page, the Behemoth uses the same CobbliMaker construction without the speedups in the 1872s, except I decided to stack units. So far, I've stacked 4 separate units all running off the same clock, but there's no reason I can't go higher, except for what happens to the server. That's a lot of redstone operating there, so practical concerns may limit me to only three stacks high, and possibly only twenty wide. The Behemoth was more an experiment to prove that yes, I could indeed go out as wide as I liked&mdash;in fact I ran up the initial test at 100 wide without stacking and struck no problems aside from the obvious lag of 14,400 blocks being all shifted at once. Stacking them three high at 51 wide gave me more blocks. Way more blocks. The Behemoth took this up to a staggering 23,868 blocks with 3 modules, and then 37,440 blocks with 60 slices and using 4 modules. Murder on servers, but great on the number of blocks created. Working in between the stacks caused its own problems with mobs spawning in the dark areas between layers, which I could easily fix by lining the edge of the waterbay with glowstone or some other lighting. There's no point in bothering with using full-switches with this many modules all going at once, although there's no reason why I couldn't lock off each module once the slab was made. Here's a link showing what the looked like.

<div id="SmoothiMaker">
The SmoothiMaker
</div>
This needed a modification of my standard cobble maker design. Only working on 1.1 and later versions of Minecraft, the adjustments of lava flowing down onto water means we don't push the created blocks up one unit, but instead we need to push them up two units. This needs extra pistons, and further complicated circuitry. It too was also bollixed (I don't know how) some time after 1.5.2, meaning I was getting cobble forming, blocking up the water channel. It's sitting idle while I wait for water physics improvements to finally make it to minecraft after 1.13.

First tries
My second attempt at the SmoothiMaker consisted of me going back to the books and starting off with a single-block maker, pushing out a line of blocks. That was all very well, but how was I going to get this into a slab? By using a pair of makers, one at each end of a line of cobble. Double that, feeding the corners of a cube, and I potentially had the ability to produce a slab that was a massive 22x22x12. That's 5,808 blocks. Unfortunately, the time it would have taken to massage the blocks into a slab by creating them four at a time, meant that this model was not going to make it past the design phase. Even if I fed all eight corners of the cube, I still wasn't going to get the speed I wanted.

Success!
Thankfully, dnolan took my existing CobbliMaker and Behemoth design and figured out how to make smoothstone blocks get pushed up and out of the way sufficiently to create another line of smoothstone. In doing this, he provided me with the circuit, which I have since put into action as the SmoothiMaker Diamond. Taking one diamond pick to eat through the created smoothstone slab, it's easy to see why I called it that. It's a bit smaller, as I only set this up at 10 units wide, though it still pushes twelve blocks for each "slice" up and out. The circuitry for the Smoothstone making's definitely more complicated though. No pictures at this stage.

Where next?
No, I'm not making an automated Obsidianmaker. I can't push obby with pistons. Sigh. I actually can't think of other things that can be done that hasn't already been addressed by automation. I've seen automated melon, pumpkin and egg farms, semi-automated wheat farms (though you still have to plant the thing), semi-automated cane farms, and of course the mob spawners. Trees still have to be grown and harvested manually, and animals still have to be bred manually. Hmmm.

Now in the land of Cyel, in the Tesseract world. It was previously in Cyel, in the world of Voxellia. Before than, it was in New Avalon, at 648, 68, -590 in Digitus (previously NOISE.

History
Originally started in Digi-Island, owned by digitamer1983 and run by VexusBaer, the management duties were handed off to brickviking, who had donated time and effort building part of the hotel.

Moves
Brickviking took over management of it since its move to NOISE in Avalon. NOISE was renamed to Digitus in memory of digitamer1983 and VexusBaer's contributions. The hotel maintains architectural integrity, being almost completely made out of Montana Oak wood planks with Metier Stone slab roof, and Pierrer Glass windows.

It has since been migrated with brickviking into his land at Cyel, at the end of a dark desert highway...

Offerings
This hotel offers many rooms from small to Ambassador size, and even includes a restaurant with an outdoors seating area, where the famous Brickviking (in his VIP days, when he didn't think as well as he does now) was once caught cheating the server at large. Music is also able to be provided, but currently the music is BYO. Access is via foot from the end of Via Del Sole, along the dark desert highway. Signage is almost non-existent, but simply look for the only ten storey wooden building, and that'll probably be it.

Introduction

4th October 2011: I then created my first real house in Digi-Island, ironically out of sandstone. Here, I finalised the design for my first big cobblestone maker, the CobbliMaker Mk 1872, which was the preliminary for creating the Behemoth.

Ongoing Treatment
It won't work. I'm infected for life. As a result of my disease, I initially took up residence in New Avalon, and have since moved to Voxellia while I live out my ongoing life in Cubic Worlds. Having only made one bad mistake since coming here (crosses fingers), I'm learning the ropes.

Additional Information
Since the move to Voxellia, I've consolidated a lot of the builds I had under my control, though most of Digitus (previously known as NOISE) will have to be consigned to the history books along with the rest of New Avalon.

* Memorial plot in Fubaka's Ville d'Art
* redecorating the Workshop (again)
* rewriting signs at Nolania Circulum (complete)
* Helping zoombuggy to build a house (complete)

Previous major New Avalon projects
* The Rail system
* Maintenance of NOISE, which then became Digitus

Status
Current game status: Minimally Active, with bouts of off-time on STIM games.

Aquatica
Aquatica is the New Avalon home of CW Member Pixelbox. It is an undersea complex, comprised of a series of glass-domed structures linked together via open-access tunnels.

THIS ARTICLE IS A WORK-IN-PROGRESS.

History
The first dome
The first dome built for Aquatica is 54 blocks in diameter. It houses a small chicken farm containing an automatic egg launcher, material gathering station, and chikunz keeler. The dome also houses Pixelbox's vault, a S.M.E.R.F. (Static's Mass Environmental Resource Farm) seed and flower generator., and small pumpkin, melon, sugarcane, and wheat farms. There are also holes that lead to caves and abandoned mineshafts which have provided additional resources, as well as a zombie XP grinder and a spider XP grinder. Additional resources, namely sand for glass and sandstone was donated to Aquatica by SunnySoulSheep.

The second dome
Soon after the first dome was constructed and set up as a "foreman's office", construction of the second dome and joining tunnel was begun. The 2nd dome was smaller than the first, and was originally constructed to house Pixel's orchard. Once 1.8 was released, Pixel put an enchanting table in this dome as well. SunnySoulSheep helped with the clearing of the inside of this dome.
The third structure - Observation Periscope
A tower was constructed in-between the first two domes so the surface world can be viewed (in limited fashion).
The third dome - the main dome
Pixel's return from hiatus (from mid-Feburary of 2012 until early July of 2012) began the construction of the main dome. This dome is the largest dome in Aquatica, whose diameter will be 128 blocks wide after completion. Construction has been a joint effort by Pixelbox and SunnySoulSheep.
Facts about the main dome
- it's construction was made significantly easier by large donations from dnolan, as well as the amazing gift of a sponge block (also gifted to Pixelbox by dnolan).
- July 25th the outer-perimeter defining the dome base was completed.
- a new cave and abandoned mineshaft was discovered during the base construction.

Current State
Headquarters/Foreman's Quarters
Vault
Naturally, to keep up with the high demand for resources during the build of Aquatica, a vault for supplies is located in the center of the first dome.

Crops
While Aquatica is still under construction, temporary farms have been erected until auto-harvesters can be built. Pixel's gotta eat!

Railway hub connection
Yes, Aquatica is connected to the Great Rail. Simply go to the main railway station south of spawn, catch the East line up to the East Exchange, and take the underground line out to Aquatica. Thanks go to brickviking, SunnySoulSheep, and others who helped.

Aquatica Main Entrance and sign
The main entrance has yet to be built. Early blueprints depict the main entrance as a tunnel, made from either black wool or obsidian, in an oval shape leading from the surface down to the main dome. Once completely underwater, the black will give way to glass, and provide viewing access to various underwater sculptures (not yet built) located on either side of the tunnel leading to the main dome. The Aquatica sign is made out of navy, orange, and white wool, depicting the logo of Aquatica. An orange "A", with smaller letters in white on a blue field.

Orchard
The second dome created for Aquatica contains a small orchard and an enchantment table. The orchard will be moved when more space is made available.

Enchantment Room
Observation Tower
Why build underwater?
What kind of doofus would attempt the pointless endeavor of building all of his stuff underwater? Well, besides the challenge of it, there are a few reasons.
Form and Function
An aquatic build illustrates a perfect environment to combine function(or the usefulness/efficiency/productivity) of a device as well as provide the fuel for imaginative and attractive design. Pixelbox's main goal is to achieve both with everything he builds, whenever possible.

Preserving the Landscape
With the style of Aquatica being mainly sandstone and glass, a LOT of sand is required to build and maintain the complex. Strip-mining beaches for sand in CW is illegal, and from the opinion of Pixelbox, mining deserts can also detract from the random beauty created by the render of CW. Building underwater allows for gathering sand block resources from the sea floor - an area that not many CW residents would ever care to visit.

Building on the sea floor not only preserves deserts, but also leaves the surface in its natural state. It additionally leaves the surface's expanses to other surface-dwelling members who wish to build, or better, to leave the un-tampered beauty of the randomly rendered habitats of Cubic Worlds in their original state.

Mob-free living
Since endermen, spiders, zombies, skeletons and creepers cannot swim, blocking off any area with water will prevent them from entering that area. Having a sealed dome, surrounded by water, ensures the safety of any CW member.

Future Plans
Public Crop Auto-harvesters
Public Wool harvesters
Public Chicken Farm
Future plans for Aquatica include housing a public-use automatic chicken farm where residents can get eggs, uncooked chicken, and feathers. Under the first dome is a prototype design for this farm.

Living Quarters for CW members
Other builds considered part of Aquatica
Aquatica also has a remote, surface-level dome with a portal to the Nether. The Nether portal arrives the player at Pixelbox's Nether Fort, which is a smooth stone brick structure for the purpose of safely mining glowstone, netherrack, and soul sand. No other endeavors are currently planned, however the floating highways are expected to continue as need for glowstone continues.
The Tundra Vastus is a giant tundra located in New Avalon. Discovered and named by Fubaka, it spans over 1000 blocks squared.

History
In the somewhat balmy December of <del>1873</del> 2011, commissioner Biscuit_Junkie sent out his finest explorers to find natural snow in New Avalon, after a failed attempt to find it himself, even pleading on the board for help in finding such a place! He set only one restriction, saying, in his usual god-like tone:

"Thou shalt not travel further than three thousand cubits from the spawn area, for if thou dost, thou shalt surely die!"

~ Biscuit_Junkie, Dec, 5th, 2011 (May or may not be accurate)

And many surely did die in the attempt to find snow! (mostly due to completely unrelated Creeper-based deaths) By the end of it, Fubaka was the only one left of his crew when he found the tundra, after traveling for thousands of blocks! (Poor Jimmy!) The rest of the exploring parties probably got lost in some forests and turned into <del>Stalfos</del> Endermen or something.

Description
The tundra itself truly lives up to its name in terms of size, and it puts the Snowview Tundra in Pixellia to shame! One could easily get lost in it if they are not using their coordinate radar. When New Avalon actually started up, it was almost assured that the Tundra Vastus would serve as a prominent colonist area - settlers however have only recently been coming to the area.

Places to Visit
- Tundra Vastus is the home to the work in progress second Guild, Icepelt, being built by Apuppy120.

- If an explorer is brave enough, and has enough will power, travelling to the furthest reaches of the tundra will award them with hospitality at User:JakTheMad's fortress, built high in the mountains away from the slippery ice.

- Sometime in the future, User:JakTheMad hopes to transform part of the tundra into a amusement park and ice-golf course.
The Tower of Portals is a place in New Greenview, directly north of New Greenview Plaza where players can reach some of the other worlds and builds on the server. It was built to replace the original Hall of Portals, and utilizes Command Blocks instead of WorldGuard Portals.

Description
The Tower is a rather large stone brick structure with a prominent flag on top. Hanging off the tower are several balconies which have portal totems on them, some unclaimed at the time of New Avalon closing. Additionally, there are portal totems in the main courtyard and in the sub courtyard. Also in the sub courtyard is a button which refreshes the Command Blocks if they are not working for the player.

Currently the portals take players to these destinations:
The Cubic Worlds Lost and Found is an area where players can reclaim their lost items after reporting it on the thread of the same name. If you lose items as the result of a server glitch, you can post what happened to the above thread, along with what you've lost.
We can only refund goods lost as a result of a server glitch, so if a player has lost items due to the normal run-of-the-mill death-by-creeper, spider or whatever, then goods are usually not refundable. In other words, only server glitches count, or when someone else has found goods that a user has lost. In that case, make a post saying what's been found.

Description
The Lost and Found shed is located north of Spawn in Voxellia. Inside the Lost and Found shed, players are greeted with two floors that have chests. Each chest is labelled with the name of a user, and inside the chest are goods that have been provided as replacement, or the original goods if this was possible.
Hyrule
Hyrule is a large kingdom from Ocarina of Time. It is currently being developed by merasane, now known as Arya_Oyvind on server. It has many towns to it that make up Hyrule as a whole. The very large to be town known as Castle Town was made by almost everyone during its infancy. The Idea came to Rubix124, and it is was owned equally by Rubix124, masternoj, and merasane until mid July of 2013 when it was gifted to the server as a whole, allowing world edit to be used by staff members to boost the completion time by absurd amounts.

The Hyrule project has been going on for just over 3 years, mostly made by hand and legitimate means, up til mid July of 2013, when to spark more life into the project, it was gifted to the server, with all lands and ownership handed over to the server as a public park. Since then It exploded in creativity and hard work until December of 2013, when it was mostly given up on due to internal conflict. Due to its size, it was not moved later on during the move to Voxellia, and it sat in limbo for over half a year, untouched in the old world of New Avalon.

In a maintenance induced downtime in June of 2014, Arya asked Zolyx if it would be alright to resurrect Hyrule once more, determined to finish it off after years of hard work. It now rests in its new and permanent home in Event Horizon, an island floating on time, in the middle of the void. To this day, Arya still works on it alone, as it's Arya's child that Arya wants to see grown in to a fully functioning success for events and visiting.

Remember that you can visit Hyrule whenever you please through the portal in the portal hall near Voxellia's spawn.

Most of the info for this page will be in the stuff listed here once the pages for each are made.

Farms
Lon Lon Ranch used to be a public farm, but since the great exodus to Voxellia, Lon Lon goods can only be obtained through special occasions, such as events.

The Old Rules of Hyrule
Hyrule is rarely forgiving of griefs or breaking of rules. Punishments go from warnings to banishment from Hyrule, people may go straight to banishment without a warning depending on rule. Bold rules have no consequence unless repeated.

1.No mining anywhere in Hyrule nor under it.

2.No breaking anything without permission. Especially breaking a wall to enter a building

3.If a door is locked access must be granted to each owner of Hyrule.

4.Any building not granted permission will be destroyed. No excuses.

5.Follow other buildings designs to keep things in code.

6.No cheating in games. Cheating in any game can result in banishment.

7.Obey what the owners say, no excuses.

8.Don't touch the trees.

9.Don't touch the decorations.

Hyrule Guard
The Hyrule Guard was a group of people who protected Hyrule from other Kingdoms and enemies. They participated in special games that only they can be in. Aside from protecting they commonly walk throughout Hyrule to check for griefings. For winning games and achieving great feats in fighting mobs they are raised in rank which at the moment just give authority.ColDimitri is in control of guard. Guards caught abusing their power will be stripped of their rank and banished.
* A beaver population once lived in Hyrule before Rubix poisoned the water.
* During the 1st attempted move of the shooting range, everyone with in 40 blocks was lagged kicked. This went on for about 10 attempts

* Hyrule is actually Hyrule 2.0, after a memory corruption that deleted all of Hyrule.
Through the Servers Ages, he has come and gone, but always remaining a staple of the community, finding time to get on for a while at least once a week. Through this time, he has seen friends come and go. even though he wishes for their return, he wishes them luck with their lives. and tries to keep in contact, be it by sms messages, Steam, or any other means of communication.

On the other side of the screen, aka, Real life, Mera is 25 years old, with his birthday being on November 6th. Though he celebrates it April 20th.

He is an Introvert, so he mainly keeps to himself. If you see him on, and all he seems to say is hello, and nothing else, do not take it personally, It is just how he works. Though he will communicate if spoken to, and can be quite talkative if you catch him on a good day!
Merasane is a Big Sci Fi Nerd, mainly for Star Trek. When asked why Star Trek, he simply responded, "Unlike others out there, It is the most feasible. ==Hyrule==
Hyrule is a large kingdom from Ocarina of Time. It is currently being developed by Arya_Oyvind who was initially called merasane.

Only Staff members can edit this page without permission.

* Hyrule is actually Hyrule 2.0, after a memory corruption that deleted all of Hyrule.
* A silverfish epidemic was once in process, till Rubix tricked the silverfish into the moat, which now serves as the grave to 40 squid, 40 spiders, 1 silverfish, Jack and Jill, and a chicken.
Hotel California
Now in Cyel, in the land of Voxellia. Previously in New Avalon, at 648, 68, -590 in Digitus.

However, the Hotel California has been moved over, as has the Block Museum.

Current Projects
I'm always working on my base, Cyel. This consists of all three of my Pixellia builds moved onto Cyel (now complete), some builds from New Avalon and modifications to make it more user-friendly. So far, I've added a chicken farm, cobble maker, smoothstone maker (not currently working), chestroom, house, two mob spawners and other sundry projects.

Previous minor New Avalon projects
* Room 2B in Fubaka's Great Library - currently under rewrite into a book
* Memorial plot in Fubaka's Ville d'Art
* CobbliMaker 1872s (little brother to the Behemoth, and since moved to Voxellia)
* the relative newcomer, the SmoothiMaker Diamond Model
* reorganising chestspace at Cyel (nearly completed phase 2)
* redecorating the Workshop (again)
* rewriting signs at Nolania Circulum (complete)
* Helping zoombuggy to build a house
The Cubic Worlds Lost and Found is an area where players can reclaim their lost items after reporting it on the thread of the same name. If you lose items as the result of a server glitch, you can post what happened to the above thread, along with what you've lost. If players lost items due to the normal run-of-the-mill death-by-creeper, spider or whatever, then goods are usually not refundable.

Avalon (Also known as the 1.8 Test World), but now usually referred to as Old Avalon was a sub-world set up after the server updated to Bukkit 1.8 RB for Minecraft beta-1.8. It was reachable via brick portal in Pixellia north of spawn, facing the chest recovery station, or in the Hall of Portals, located in New Avalon, before it was deleted on the 20th of April, 2012.

Description
This world was set up to allow players who hadn't updated to beta-1.8 before this time to experience the new features of beta-1.8 on the server. It was a fresh map that contained all the goodies that came with the beta-1.8 update, including Strongholds, NPC Villages, Mine-shafts, and ravines.

The first build was a small public shelter set up by Tomousee with help from Flappyflap. Although nothing special it did provide shelter for people entering the new world for the first time.

Since then the building on Avalon had quite literally mushroomed into whole villages and towns solely consisting of mushroom houses. These houses being relatively easy and cheap to make were quite different to many other builds throughout the whole of cubic worlds.

Later (December 2011) Avalon seemed to have succumbed to a massive biome corruption, turning it into a very large tundra. The world had, both literally and figuratively, reached the winter of its life.

Last History
Near the end of its life, Old Avalon became primarily a resource world as permanent residents became fewer and fewer. Swamps littered the world, which were still plentiful in clay, and many caves were still unexplored.

Occasionally, record hunts were organized on this world, since in New Avalon they would be troublesome to the non-participating users.

Demise
This world was initially scheduled for deletion on the 4th of February, 2012, but was delayed due to server problems.

On the rescheduled deletion date of April 20th 2012, the spawn went through a radical series of storms and transformations, resulting in a giant cube of water enveloping where spawn used to be. However, due to additional technical problems, Old Avalon was not deleted here either.

The world was finally deleted at the eve of the Arrival of Avalon epoch, when the server entered 1.2.5.
New Avalon was the previous world of Cubic Worlds. It was put into commission after Bukkit RB 1.0.1 was released, though it had been incubated on Biscuit's Test World for a while before then. It has been superseded as the Cubic Worlds primary world by Voxellia, and has been made available for download.

Description
This world replaced Pixellia as the main world when the Bukkit RB for Minecraft 1.0 was released. New Avalon is noted for its astounding beauty, and massive individual biomes, like the Tundra Vastus, and the Great Sea.

Structures
The inner sanctum of New Avalon, known as New Greenview, is the spawn area. It does not rain or snow within the fence border. The Hall of Portals, the New Avalon Central Rail Station, The Great Tree of Avalon, and the Bauble Competition historical site are located within this area, among other things.

Past the fence border, many large and complex builds exist, including The Enclave, A. Fogo's Frigate, the Greater Library, the Blue Hole, and others.

Towns
Currently, New Avalon holds these major towns and kingdoms:
*The Ville d'Art
*Redstonia
*Hyrule
*Vallhalla
*Tropical Paradise
*Redville
*Metropolis
*Nekomundo
*NOISE, since renamed to Digitus
*Obstyria
*Azryia and Zeriuth
*Bella Terra

These towns will be transferred in the near future:
*The Citadel

Trivia
* New Avalon was incubated on Biscuit's Test World for quite some time before being officially inducted into Cubic Worlds.
* For some reason, most of the towns are located north of the spawn point, past the Hall of Portals.
Pixellia was the main world that the server started out with, before New Avalon was established. The vast majority of player builds still occupy this world.

Description
New players would start in Greenview Plaza, the first structure built on the world. From there, they will be immediately swamped in many of the structures that various players have built. All the land around the central plaza within at least a 300x300 radius is completely occupied with various structures and attractions. Once the player has moved out of this range, the building density will decrease until there is unoccupied land once again.

Greenview Rail Station provides rail service from Greenview to faraway villages and towns.

Each direction in the Pixellia seems to lead to distinct biomes. Going north will eventually lead the player into snowy terrain, east leads them to dense forests, west takes them out to open plains, and South leads to deserts. There are also many oceans located mainly north and south of spawn.

This world was given a Nether after the Beta-1.6 update, but it was mainly used only for glowstone mining and as a railway system.

After the server updated to Beta-1.8, a sub-world was made to allow players to explore the new features. This 1.8 Test World was able to be reached by means of a portal north of spawn.

History
Pixellia has gone through many an ordeal, whether they be intentional or not.

* On the 26th of May 2011, Beta-1.6 caused the world to be unplayable for a short time. Players had to convene in the 1.6 Vanilla World until it started working again.
* On the 30th of July 2011, the Shroomageddon event took place, and many structures were mushroomified.
* On the 4th of August 2011, the Great Biome Corruption happened, causing mass climate change (global wubble) in all regions. This has since been reverted.
* On the 19th of August, the Great Ore Corruption happened, causing all undiscovered ore to vanish forever from the world and crashing the server for a considerable amount of time.
* On the 25th of August 2011, when Cubic Worlds went back online, the name of the world was changed from 'world' to 'pixellia'.
* On the 27th of August 2011, the Arachnid Storm event took place on this world. The remnants of which are located at the Great Library.
* On the 25th of September 2011, Minecraft Beta-1.8 came to the server, marking the beginning of the end for Pixellia as the primary world.
* On the 28th of September 2011, all law ended in Pixellia due to general destabilization of the server. Anarchy mode was engaged, marking the second part of the end.
* On the 29th of September 2011, order was restored after the host was switched.
* On the 18th of November 2011, the full version of Minecraft was released, marking the third and final part of the world's death-knell. It was then only a matter of time until New Avalon eclipsed this world.
* On the 16th of December 2011, New Avalon took Pixellia's place as the primary world. Pixellia can still be reached via the Hall of Portals.

Fate
Pixellia has seen some builds uprooted and moved to New Avalon since the introduction of 1.0 to the server. It is certain that a few more will follow suit.

On the ?, 2012, Pixellia will be locked, effectively preventing any future block changes on the world for all time. This will effectively preserve what's left of the server's Beta history.

4th October 2011: I then created my first real house in Digi-Island, ironically out of sandstone. Here, I built my first big cobblestone maker, the CobbliMaker Mk 1872, which was the preliminary for creating the Behemoth.

Ongoing Treatment
It won't work. I'm infected for life. As a result of my disease, I've had to take residence in New Avalon while I live out my ongoing life in Cubic Worlds. Having only made one bad mistake since coming here (crosses fingers), I'm learning the ropes.
Additional Information
Since the move to Voxellia, I've consolidated a lot of the builds I had under my control, though most of Digitus will have to be consigned to the history books along with the rest of New Avalon. However, the Hotel California has been moved over, as has the Block Museum.

Current Projects
Rail
In collaboration with Biscuit_Junkie and other very helpful users, I'm putting together the Great Railway for Avalon. This will soon have its own page.

Home
I'm also putting together my base, Cyel. This consists of all three of my Pixellia builds moved onto Cyel (now complete) and modifications to make it more user-friendly. So far, I've added a chicken farm, cobble maker, smoothstone maker, chestroom, house, two mob spawners (which don't appear to work) and other sundry projects.

Minor projects
* Room 2B in Fubaka's Great Library - currently under rewrite into a book
* Memorial plot in Fubaka's Ville d'Art
* CobbliMaker 1872 (little brother to the Behemoth)
* the relative newcomer, the SmoothiMaker Diamond Model
* reorganising chestspace at Cyel (nearly completed phase 2)
* redecorating the Workshop (again)
* rewriting signs at Nolania Circulum (complete)
* Helping zoombuggy to build a house

History and Plans
NOISE started on December 4th, 2012 as a concept on the Minecraft Museum Forums, in which digitamer1983 called for the founding of a dark kingdom, rising from the ashes of the Cubic Islands. The name NOISE is actually an acronym, meaning the No One Is Stronger Empire.

Digi set out to build massive walls of iron and stone to surround his kingdom, and create guild halls for 'Gladiators' and 'Wizards' who would join his empire and help him conquer the entire. He also plans to set up a labyrinth, that new visitors must traverse in order to enter the city.

Description and Layout
Currently, as of April 6th, 2012, NOISE is a large and flat area with a handful of large buildings scattered around the place.

Decently large farms exist in places that are made to resemble the item that they grow, like a giant pumpkin with a pumpkin farm, a large chicken-shaped statue with a chicken farm inside, etc.

A museum made primarily of white wool stands near the railway station of the town. On one of the upper floors, we have the Hall of Knowledge, where nearly every type of block available in Minecraft is on display, including normally unobtainable ones like 'Portal block', 'Bedrock' and 'Snow Cover', among others.

The Hotel California exists to help out weary travellers, and provides a starting place for new players and a home away from home for old hands. Rooms exist in multiple sizes, and as such, cost different rates. Apply to Brickviking for a room.

Many empty fenced out areas exist in a grid, most likely awaiting players to move in and build their structures to fill in the city's residential areas. As such, NOISE will probably start growing again in earnest when member applications are reopened.

A stadium is being built for Ice Spleef. It is made primarily out of Cubestone.

A Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster exists in the upper portion of the city, near the ocean border.

Other builds exist as well, but they are currently not remarkable enough to comment on specifically.

Cyel is a region in New Avalon bordering on the Great Desert. Well, it's a desert, and it's large. That's my story and I'm sticking to it, all right?

How to get here
Until I get open, all I'm saying is that it's on the Great South East Rail.

Attractions
What attractions? Everything's underground! However, there's the Fiery Pyramid. Yes, I bought the one that used to be in Pixellia (and is still there) and had it copied over to my residence, and I'm using it for the Flaming Laboratory. OpheliaDoll's house is still here, ready for if she ever comes back to reclaim her house, which then became my house through a trail of buyers. There's the Great Desert, of course. On the boundaries of the Great Desert, we also have a museum of art. This building was the work of three people as part of a competition. As a reward, they got to put it where they liked. Eventually, it found its way over to here, and I now provide a home for it. It is open to the public.

History
I started Cyel soon after arriving in New Avalon. I rapidly realised I'd be better off heading off to the border of the time (4,000 blocks from spawn) but never got there before finding what I thought was an island. I thought it was ideal, so set up shop on what eventually became Gillespie Peninsula. I then drilled a hole underground back to the fence near spawn so I could get back there without losing my way through the Great Desert, and figured it would be a good idea if I railed up. rail story I then figured out that Gillespie Peninsula was a pretty silly name if nobody knew who the heck Mr Gillespie was, so I renamed the region (everywhere inside my borders) Cyel. And so we have it today.

Current State
Like most people's land, it's in a state of flux, with developments and redevelopments going on, mostly underneath the surface. Attempts at two mob spawners have failed with no clue aside from SMP limits on mobs spawning. I will probably repurpose them into something else, such as a wheat tower. Project 33 never got completed, so that'll end up being repurposed into something else.

I also transferred over Sandstone Manor and Cobble Manor, and updated both structures to suit a more modern outlook. Both structures are private to myself, and I'd appreciate people asking permission before they enter either structure.

Future Ideas
Eventually I want to build some public attractions, though I'm not particularly good at building. Avalon has a Spleefosseum already, but I want to build one that's a little different, using multiple layers. The idea got an airing on the forums, but hasn't been built yet. As I'm currently a bit busy plotting out where the world-spanning railway should go, I've been doing that instead of planning public attractions.

|z=9999
|y=1
}}
Introduction
The CobbliMaker is a small project made by myself (Brickviking), with help from others.

(Incidentally, this is the basis for an obsidian generator&mdash;simply remove the piston wall and piston floor, remove the circuitry, as pistons can't push obby anyhow, and find some way of lining a channel with redstone. Put a water flow up against that, place lava on top of the redstone, and boom. Obsidian. Take the lava away, mine the obsidian, put down more redstone, etc.)

Wow.

<div id="SmoothiMaker">
The SmoothiMaker
</div>
This needed a modification of my standard cobble maker design. Only working on 1.1 and later versions of Minecraft, the adjustments of lava flowing down onto water means we don't push the created blocks up one unit, but instead we need to push them up two units. This needs extra pistons, and further complicated circuitry.

Hmmm.
