[Birdtross]: We have the wiki now, so rather than refer people to the forums, here it is!

-THE FOLLOWING IS UNEDITED TEXT DIRECTLY FROM THE FORUMS-

'Mumble' is the software Cubic Worlds users use for voice chatting. This is nothing more than a brief tutorial for how to download the software, and how to get onto the server! If your not interested in voice chat, consider your curiosity for this thread satisfied.

The first thing you want to do is go to this website and download Mumble: http://mumble.sourceforge.net/

This shouldn't take long, as it's about 14mb or something like that. Hopefully (if you're a Windows user) it should have automatically put a shortcut icon on your desktop. Open it! The program will now walk you through an easy to follow calibration setup. This should take about 5 - 10 minutes.

Now you're in Mumbles main window! You should see something similar to the pull down tree in explorer here. You can use this to join *any* mumble server in the world. But we're only interested in one: The Minecraft Cubic Worlds server. So how do we find it?

The answer is that we have to add a new entry. This is at the bottom of window in the right hand corner. You should now see an interface that we need to fill in: 'Name' (I forget the actual name ): This name can be anything you want, but it should have some sort of connection to minecraft, no? Personally, I named mine "Cubic Worlds." Address: The IP for the server! It's on the announcements topic, but I'll put it here too: 85.236.100.59 Port: This is the number which follows the IP normally, like the number after the ":" to get onto Cubic Worlds: 25687 Username: This is the name people will see you having when you join the voice chat server. Again, it can be anything you want, but for simplicity's sake, just use your Minecraft usrname.

And there you go! If you have any burning questions feel free to ask, but I must warn you that I'm not that great on the tech side for computing, I'll do my best, though. But to be honest, you're probably going to have a faster and better response from the Mumble FAQ: http://mumble.sourceforge.net/FAQ

Hope to hear you soon!
