Note: In the early tournaments, matches could last minutes, leading to very long rounds and overall contests.
To remedy this, after the January 2017 tournament, "shrinkage" was introduced. After a certain time of fighting (usually about 90 seconds), the size of the Ice Rink shrinks by a couple of blocks diameter. This increases the ability for players to knock each other into the water. This shrinkage can repeat up to 4(?) times, every 60-90 seconds decreasing the diameter of the rink by 1-2- blocks.
