The Emerald Jump Arena is a stadium located inside the commons area of Nova, just south of the Ville d'Art. Built by Fubaka, it is a place where games of Emerald Jump are held.

History

The plans for this arena actually began many months prior to the arena's completion, in a single player creative world. (which is now deleted) A crude prototype of the arena was built to test the concept. About a week later, Fubaka began building the stadium in Nova, and left it there in it's starting stages. After being distracted for all those months, Fubaka decided to finally finish the structure on October 18th, 2012.

Building Description

The arena consists of the main pulpit, which is a series of platforms surrounded by lava. Around the pulpit are three towers, two of which are spectator towers, and the third central one being the control tower. The spectator towers can be accessed by some stairways outside of the arena pulpit, but the control tower is inaccessible to anyone other than the event host, and his/her lackeys.

There is a significant amount of redstone work beneath the stadium to power the platforms, which can rise and sink in the lava. There are doors on the back of the arena that lead into the redstone chamber, but they are locked, and only authorized personnel may enter.

Trivia

  • This building was particularly difficult to construct, due to the fact that much lava was needed, and the act of collecting and placing said lava resulted in a few fried Fubakas.
