The Ghast Apocalypse, (also referred to as the Great Summoning) was an event that took place at The Citadel in early July. The event, involving the Pumpkin-Head Clan consisted of building a shrine primarily of Nether materials, and chanting to bring Gary back into the overworld. It resulted in a severe storm that caused several dozen ghasts to spawn simultaneously and wreak havoc on the area. Nearly everyone who participated in the event was killed. This event would later be celebrated by the Church of Ghastianity.
