You can almost always count on there being at least 1 staffer on at any given time.  You can ask them almost any question within reason and expect them to answer you respectfully.  It is important though to know that this server is meant to be played in way that is as close to "vanilla" Minecraft as possible, so there are a few things that you should '''not''' ask them:
Server staff may not always be online in Minecraft but they pay regular attention to goings-on through the community Discord server.  The best way to contact them with any technical question or help request you have is by posting in the #support channel there - you can ask almost any question within reason and an Elder or an Op will try to help as soon as they're able.
* Do not ask Officers or above to teleport you, under any circumstance.  The staffers will decide when it is appropriate to teleport people.
* Do not ask Moderators or above to spawn items or mobs, or change the time/weather for you.  You are meant to deal with these problems with the appropriate vanilla strategies.  These staffers will only spawn blocks for you if you have been irreparably griefed or rolled back.
* '''Never''' ask any staff member to promote you. Ops will decide which players are worthy of promotion based on their general behavior and actions on the server.

Staffer Ranks

The following is a list of the current staffers for Cubic Worlds, in descending rank. (Organized by seniority within rank.)

Ops

An Op - short for Operator - is typically the top rank on a server, and appears either red or purple in chat. Ops have access to any and all of the server commands and responsibilities, most notably including the ability to refund items lost due to glitches, move builds between main worlds, promote and demote players to any rank, and to otherwise annoy pretty much everyone by regularly restarting the server for no obvious reason and failing to fix obvious bugs.

  • Zolyx - the Evil Op and simultaneously loved and feared Cubic Worlds Chief of Staff.
