Staffers

Staffer is the term used to describe any high-ranking user who keeps order on the server and forums. While all staffers have considerably more power than normal users, they are themselves divided into ranks. Staffers follow the Staff Policy to ensure an open and friendly relationship with the players of Cubic Worlds.

Staffer Ranks

The following is a list of the current staffers for Cubic Worlds, in descending rank.

Ops

An Op - short for Operator - is typically the top rank on a server, and appears red in chat. Ops have access to any and all of the server commands and responsibilities, most notably including the ability to promote and demote players to any rank and to annoy pretty much everyone by regularly restarting the server for no obvious reason.

• Zolyx - the simultaneously loved and feared Chief of Staff of both Cubic Worlds and the Minecraft Museum. He is in charge of all of the higher functions of both these places as well as the forum that lets their communities mingle. Zolyx is the owner and founder of Cubic City.

Temp Ops

This rank is given to a trusted user (usually a Moderator) who is given Op status while the Op is away. It implies that the user will return to Moderator status when the Op returns. They have pretty much the same powers as an Op, but for the most part, don't know how to use them. They can look things up, though, so don't fret!

(There are currently no Temp Ops)

Moderators

Moderators are high-ranking users trusted to watch over the server and help orchestrate events. They appear orange in chat. They have most of the world-altering powers that Ops have, can spawn items, blocks, and even mobs when needed, and can promote and demote on the Guest / Member range. Like all staff members, Moderators are equipped with banhammers.

• Fubaka - the longest running user on the server besides Zolyx himself. He is well known for creating the two Jump Gauntlets, Snowview, The Greater Library, and others. Fubaka returned to being a Moderator after 3 months of retirement as an Elder. Fubaka is the founder and proprietor of Nova.
• SunnySoulSheep - The newest Moderator. Due to general helpfulness, she rose to a Moderator position faster than anyone else on record.

Elders

Elders are staff members who have chosen to step down from staffing duties and enjoy a quiet life once again. In recognition of their service all ex-staffers of Moderator or above are given this title.

• Biscuit_Junkie - former Moderator - server-renowned cake and dome addict! Runs the Official Test Server for Cubic Worlds and is the founder and proprietor of Moya.
• Mystic_Murray - former Moderator - possibly the most loved user on the server. Mystic is well known for his OCD perfectionism and for being the founder and proprietor of The Citadel.
• Squeedge - former Moderator - one of the server's Cake Barons. He is obsessed with farms of all sorts and tries to observe as many different methods of constructing them as he can.
• derGymnacke - former Officer - the server's other redstone wizard. He is busy most of the time working on projects given by Mystic_Murray. He also tends to make things more complicated than necessary. Warning: Making him think about redstone projects can make him go crazy and screaming things like "for SCIENCE".
• On3Win9 - former Officer - Is always willing to help and was instrumental in helping to complete the original Citadel.

Officers

Officers are the first tier of lawkeepers within the server and appear yellow in chat. Those in this position have the ability to teleport themselves and others and can dispense justice using their banhammers to get rid of troublesome users. Officers have access to rollback commands to reverse griefer damage and also serve as moderators on the Minecraft Museum forum.

• masternoj - the server's official Hero of Time and co-owner of Hyrule. Co-creator of the Spleefosseum, along with Bhirsch, and owner of the Castle Ood. Has an odd sense of humor and a massive symmetry OCD.
• OminousFire - Cubic Worlds' renowned redstone wizard. Creator of Pina Park, the CNG, and Redstonia, as well as the unfinished University of Redstone. Likes to help with redstone projects, when he's not busy with one of his own. Does not like to use his own materials for other's projects, but will most of the time use his own on those projects.
• ColDimitri - he loves hoarding massive amounts of as many different kinds of materials as he can. This includes a horde of iron golems
• runicrules - she likes to build walls encompassing large areas and invites only trusted people to help her.
• JakTheMad- Owner of Valhalla.
• Shabbyjazz- The server's greatest woolophile.
• brickviking- The Creator of the rail system and the only true viking

Help from Staffers

You can almost always count on there being at least 1 staffer on at any given time. You can ask them almost any question within reason and expect them to answer you respectfully. It is important though to know that this server is meant to be played in way that is as close to "vanilla" Minecraft as possible, so there are a few things that you should not ask them:

• Do not ask Officers or above to teleport you, under any circumstance. The staffers will decide when it is appropriate to teleport people.
• Do not ask Moderators or above to spawn items or mobs, or change the time/weather for you. You are meant to deal with these problems with the appropriate vanilla strategies. These staffers will only spawn blocks for you if you have been irreparably griefed or rolled back.
• Never ask any staff member to promote you. Ops will decide which players are worthy of promotion based on their general behavior and actions on the server.

If you have any question for a staffer and cannot seem to find them on the server, you can send them a private message on the forums. They are expected to check their inboxes periodically and respond with gusto.
