The WONDERous Takeover was an event that took place on Cubic Worlds. The event was foretold by Zolyx, and was made real on the Eve of April, 2012.

Event Synopsis

At a specific point on March 31st, the server crashed. Everyone reconnected only to find that the rules had changed WONDERously, and that they had all been assigned various pony names. The rank system was changed too, with Members and VIPs listed as 'Pony', Officers as 'Unicorn', and Moderators as 'Pegasus'. The only person who remained untouched was Zolyx. The forum had changed as well to a gruesome pink and a new moniker, Pony Worlds Forum.

The building rules had also changed to specifically require that all structures must be composed of at least 50% pink wool. This led to massive overhauls in places such as the Ville d'Art and the Nolania Circulum.

When Zolyx came on to witness the whole ordeal, he was completely oblivious to the changes made to both the server and forum, and questioned why people were shouting about ponies and continually reconnecting to get their name changed. It was then found out what was causing this mess.

From there, Zolyx, gold sword in hand, embarked on an epic quest which undoubtedly involved a volcano and armies of orcs to defeat and seal away the WONDER once and for all. Unfortunately, none of the rest of the users saw this, since they were trapped in the WONDER's clutches.

After long enough, the WONDER was fought off, and a celebratory LeafSpleef game was held on the Event Horizon.

Trivia

• This event was based largely on the meme-tropolis that is My Little Pony.

  

• While the pony names were in effect, people could log out and in to get a different name. This led to confusion when two or more users had the same name.
• This event, taking place on a peculiar day at the beginning of April, sure fooled some people.
• During peak WONDER time, many users found their texture pack changed to a much more girly one. (Right)
• It is suspected that Meepling was somehow involved in causing this event.
